The history of Irish dance evolved from the earliest religious rites of the Druidic Gaels who danced in honor of the sun. By the mid-1500s, there were dances known as the Trenchmore, the Rinnce Fada, and the Irish Hey as well as various jigs and sword dances. The coverlet is approximately 50" x 60" with fringe on all four sides. Triple-woven in the U.S.A. of 100% cotton. Machine washable, pre-shrunk and color-fast.
